We’re here to answer one simple question for you: “How do I play Empyrean?”

If you have completed the ‘RISING TIDE’ Quest, you are ready. If not - squad up with a Railjack-ready Tenno, or begin the Quest yourself. 

Earth Proxima, Saturn Proxima, and Veil Proxima are destinations your Railjack can access with this Update. Things get harder the further from Earth you stray - prepare yourself and your squad. It will take time to master your Railjack.  

Empyrean brings the foundations of a new progression system - INTRINSICS, as well as completely new Avionics, Gear, and Resources for you to earn and find. You and your crew will need to stay together to stay alive. 

This is the beginning of Empyrean. War is coming.

Happy to clarify! Motion controls you're already familiar with like aiming with handheld weapons won't be affected. When Empyrean launches, there will be no motion controls enabled for controlling your Railjack specifically. So, motion controls that already exist aren't being removed, and you can expect us to add motion control capabilities to your Railjack in a future update!

At the end of 2019 we informed our Nintenno that Empyrean would be coming in early 2020, and we’ve done just that - We have sent Empyrean: Update 27.0.5 to Cert! 

We’ve included everything from PC Update 27 - 27.0.5! The total download size for this update is 1.8 GB.Once we have passed Cert we will update this thread with the official launch date and time.

Empyrean: Update 27.0.5 is in development and set to arrive early 2020 on Nintendo Switch! As Empyrean launches on PS4 and Xbox One, we want to make sure you’re informed about what to expect of Warframe on the Nintendo Switch as we near the end of the year.

We’re delighted that we were able to ship the remastered Rising Tide update before the holidays, so you could enjoy meeting Cephalon Cy and build your Railjack. Despite unforeseen issues with Cert last month, we were able to quickly deliver the latest update. The team was very excited about shipping the build, in addition to getting Warframe down below the base memory allowance (from 22 GB to 16.5GB)!

The good times keep rolling with a speedy Cert approval from Nintendo - Rising Tide is here! This means you can all enjoy this upcoming weekend with your Clan in your newly built Dry Dock. We’ve included everything from PC Update 26.1 - Hotfix 26.1.3. Adventure into your new Orbiter, build your Dry Dock in your Clan Dojo, and forge your Railjack. 

Rising Tide: Update 26.1.3 on the Nintendo Switch is a remaster update! 

When we remaster, we are essentially doing a big cache cleanup to optimize old and existing assets. When we do this, we decrease the overall size of Warframe. In this instance, Warframe will go from 22 GB to 16 GB! 

Since this affects existing assets, Warframe will be re-downloaded in its entirety when the update goes live. You will notice the small white progress bar that appears on the Warframe tile will fill up twice, this is normal! It simply indicates the two step process of the remaster.

Rising Tide: Update 26.1.3 has been sent to Cert! Once the build has been approved by Nintendo we will update this thread with an official release date/time. We’ve included everything from PC Hotfix 26.1 - 26.1.3, which includes the introduction of the Dry Dock and the start of building your very own Railjack!
